New York-based Alberto Makali designs and produces evening wear, sportswear and dresses that are sold by leading retailers such as Saks, Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus and Dillard’s, as well as boutiques and specialty stores around the world.
Alberto Makali has experienced double-digit growth and global expansion in recent years. The fashion brand has grown from one division to six and expanded its product line in all divisions; in addition, the company recently opened offices in Madrid and Dubai.

For example, Derasmo noted that, "we currently have multiple people running reports for different areas of the company on a weekly, or sometimes, daily basis. The current system can't automatically generate reports. So if there is a request for a specific report at any given time, that individual must stop what they are doing to run that report. Now these reports will automatically be generated and sent at a specific time," he said.
"It's a simple problem, but very time-consuming – and it's only one of many examples of inefficiency. We need our people to be able to focus their energy within the system, and not have to deviate from it.”
